All of the links are public Soundcloud tracks, and the uploads in the proper mp3 file type, but still not working. I'm able to get them to popup in the Audio player, but when I click them, they load forever (see attachment, shows the bottom left loading icon). The demo content music used to play, but after adding my own tracks, they don't either.
Please let me know asap of any fixes, thanks!
Also I'm having a ton of trouble with the appearance of the music player, and entire site in general, but going to open separate tickets on those.
To use our custom mp3 player, you need to have mp3 file. Soundcloud doesnt provide MP3 files but rather streaming file on its own format.
Please try uploading mp3 file in your playlist and leave the stream link empty (stream link is only for MP3 file format as well that you want to host on an external server).
If it still doesnt work, please provide me access to your wp-admin.
We support any service that offer a link to a mp3 file. Unfortunately, Spotify doesnt (as well as soundcloud). Unfortunately, they dont offer mp3 files because they dont want people to create their own media custom player. They want to people use their embed player.. I guess it's because they want to control their brands.
Also one of the tracks I'm trying to put in the player is ~40mb, which will obviously take a long time to load, so I was hoping that by using a streaming service it would drastically cut down the loading time by allowing listeners to stream while the song buffers (like soundcloud). Do you know anything about this/have suggestions?
Google Drive and Dropbox are not recommended to host webfile that will be serving on your website. Its more intended for a file storage solution than a hosting service.Basically, they block other servers to get their files.
My best bet is using Amazon Server , Digital Ocean, and any other web hosting provider.
But quick question, why dont you host your file directly on your web server? is there any particular reason?
I'm fine with it being hosted on my site, however I was hoping by hosting it elsewhere I'd be able to cutdown on load time.
For example, I have an audio file that's 40+ mb. I uploaded that to my site and waited a pretty significant amount of time and it still hasn't loaded. I was hoping that with an external host, it would allow people to play the song immediately - before fully buffering like SoundCloud and other similar services do. Is there any way to do that?
Also, I just tried adding a streaming link from a song on Amazon's website, and still no luck.
We are releasing a fix soon about long audio file. The problem with long audio file AND the soundwave graph is to make the Soundwave graph show up, we must load the audio first (to know the high/low peaks if your song). Once the song is loaded, we display the soundwave. So hosting your audio file somewhere wont speed up this process.
The fix we gonna release soon is to have a progress bar as soon as the audio start to play. Once the audio file is fully loaded, then we will show the soundwave instead of the progress bar.

Could you try it yourself to see if it works?

The link in your album "test new soundcloud" was a soundcloud stream. I have changed it for a local mp3 and it works now: https://d.pr/i/XmIaW6

Thank you, that worked.
However, I've been unsuccessful in finding a way to use a streaming link in the player instead of an mp3.
I noticed that it says you don't support support soundcloud, so I've tried spotify and audiomack, but no luck. What streaming services do you support?

Makes sense. Do you have any you recommend?

And FYI I have tried using Google Drive and Dropbox, but no luck.
And they both were public links.
