Just wanted to let you know I figured it out. Since Amazon does not support technical questions with Basic level accounts there was not much on the internet as far as setup so figured I would submit a solution. As you suggested I had to modify the CORS configuration in the S3 bucket along with making it public. Attached is a basic "GET" pull that needs to be pasted into the CORS configuration under Permissions in order for it to play in the built-in audio player that uses Javascript.
