I'm wondering if there's an easy way to create a podcast archive page that allows my users to quickly sort through old episodes in list form, rather than as a thumbnail grid. My podcast has almost 400 episodes, so it would be really nice for them to be easily to sort through them. I've tried a number of different things, but can't seem to figure anything out. Any help would be HUGELY appreciated! Thank you!

    Hi Drew,

When you talk about quickly sort through episodes, what do you have in mind? I mean, displaying 400 episodes in a 5 or 6 columns grid format should take less space than listing them one after one in a list-form format?

In our theme, we dont have a templates to list them one after one. However, perhaps you can use Elementor Pro (paid plugin-> https://sonaar.io/go/elementor/ ), to make custom archives templates that will suits your need.

    What do you think?

    Thanks,

Thanks Maxime. I have looked at doing different grid formats, but with so many episodes, it seemed quite challenging for someone to get all the way to episode 1, for example. I wondered if there’s even a setting to show pagination links (if that’s the right term), rather than a “load more”? Or maybe a simple way to have a text only list (or even a drop down sorted by date, like the posts sidebar has). Sounds like that’s likely not the case though.

Sounds like Elementor could be an option to make something like that though. I’m not super web savvy. Curious how difficult it would be?

Sorry, wish I was a bit more knowledgeable about this stuff! Really appreciate the help.

    Hi Drew,

Yes you can use  pagination rather than a "load more" button.
    Please edit your grid.
Click on th "grid setting" tab
And go to the "pagination" setting https://d.pr/free/i/Aeyk19

And click on the "nav-filter-sort" tab
And move the pagination element into a dropzone https://d.pr/free/i/otoG3O

    Thanks,

Awesome, thank you! I had a feeling there was an easy way to do that I just couldn’t figure out. That helps a lot.
