Contact host and followed instructions on Sonaar Help website (including WP Rocket). My PageSpeed score is still just 11/100. On top of that, the website is currently just a landing page. Can you please help me make the website load at a decent speed?

    Thanks,

    Erik

    Hi,

From what I can see, you are using soundcloud widget which add an additional 315kb to your homepage.

Also, you are using a 861kb image background. So only these 2 pieces add up 1mb loading time to your website.

    See screenshot: https://d.pr/i/dx0ouL

Beside than that, you are using Elementor Pro which add several scripts as well which naturally decrease your page score.

Now, if we are talking about real speed, (instead of checking reports), beside the big image on the background, I dont "feel" your website slow that much.

If you want really increase your "score" (which means not that much by the way: https://wp-rocket.me/blog/the-truth-about-google-pagespeed-insights/ ), Id suggest to get CloudFlare CDN + Rocket Loader + Argo feature.

    Thanks,

    Hi Maxime,

I followed your instructions, however the site is still very slow. I tried changing the theme, which speeds things up a bit. Is there any way I can improve loading time? The problem seems to be that there is a delay of several seconds before anything even happens.

    Thanks,

    Erik

    Hello Erik,

You still have a huge background https://lifemusic.group/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/temecula-sunrise.jpeg

You can also enable the External Stylesheet option (wp-admin>theme options>general settings)
    This will help a bit.

    Thanks,

    Hi Alexandre and Maxime,

I've implemented the changes you suggested and the website is still very slow to load. Here is what Dreamhost responded:

I checked the site and noticed that most of the load time comes from your
    .css & .js files:

    https://gtmetrix.com/reports/lifemusic.group/sIHUf0L5

I also checked the logs and found your scripts have been getting
automatically killed by our process watcher script due to your sites
going over memory limits on the shared server:

    Sun Jul 28 13:18:39 2019 procwatch3 INFO: PID 12758 (php72.cgi)
    lifemusicgroup:pg1582884 - 101.7MB ram, 90.33 sec cpu: reniced to +10

    Thu Jul 25 10:17:29 2019 procwatch3 INFO: PID 23340 (php72.cgi)
    lifemusicgroup:pg1582884 - 113.6MB ram, 92.70 sec cpu: reniced to +10

    Thu Jul 25 10:23:06 2019 procwatch3 INFO: PID 7376 (php72.cgi)
    lifemusicgroup:pg1582884 - 115.1MB ram, 93.35 sec cpu: reniced to +1

How can I address these issues?

    Thanks,
    Erik

    Bonjour Erik,

    Thanks,

    Hi Erik,

I took a look at your GTMetrix report and it seems fine. Your Page speed score is 76% while the average is 71% and your YSlow Score is 77% while the average is 70%

It also reports an F Grade with the minify CSS: https://d.pr/i/21ZViO but if you look closer, you will see that almost all errors are false positive: https://d.pr/i/yk9ZQE

By example, it tells to minify :

But the file main.min.css?ver=58.2.2 is already minified. see here: https://lifemusic.group/wp-content/themes/sonaar/dist/css/main.min.css?ver=5.2.2

I would not be too much worried by that score and this report.

For the Dreamhost response, which scripts get killed?

Perhaps I can recommend a better server than DreamHost. A true VPS server is the same price and will be faster. Check cloudways.com

    Thanks,

Cloudways solved my problem. I'll be migrating all my Wordpress websites away from Dreamhost now. Thanks for the great suggestion!
