Publish broken after changing site address in wordpress

I originally installed wordpress and sonaar theme in a subdirectory while working on a new site design so it didn't interfere with the current site https://karenbishko.com/a

I followed the wordpress codex procedure to change the site address to a new address https://karenbishko.com ( I copied just the index.php file and the htaccess file to the root public directory, and edited the index file as instructed.)

The public facing website is working however the wordpress admin area is now failing to let me edit/publish anything plus Elementor is not longer working.

When editing in wordpress default editing window, and I press publish or save draft I get a message "Updating Failed" (see screenshot)

And for Edit with Elementor resulting page: "content not found" message

However wordpress Quick Edit does work.

Can you advise me on where I may have gone wrong? Or if there was another way I should have changed the site address?

    Thanks

    Hi,

for site migration or issue with your WordPress app, I recommend that you check directly with your hosting provider has they have all the tools available to run the proper tests and to assist directly.

I worked out what was wrong myself. It was nothing to do with hosting.

The Elementor plug-in will cause wordpress to have saving issues if the WordPress Address (URL) and the Site Address (URL) are NOT identical. Here is what I found on the elementor website..

    https://docs.elementor.com/article/234-ssl-certificate-with-elementor
Please note that when you modify your URL, you have to make sure that you change the URL in your WordPress Dashboard, in Settings > General. Moreover, the WordPress Address (URL) and the Site Address (URL) should be identical.
