    Hello Maxime,

Thanks again for your help previously in getting the Podcastr Demo fully installed and fully functional on my website hosting.

Not fully out of the woods yet though. My HTTPS standing is failing to achieve full Padlock status on two counts - both of which related directly to the Hero images in the demo. See the following (with verifying link):

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

While checking we could see that SSL is already enabled for your domain but the padlock is missing as there are mixed contents in your site. Please see the link :

Please contact the developer to update the URL and images to secure URL for your padlock to return.

Best greetings, Haraldur Bergsteinsson Customer Service Advisor IceNetworks Ltd."

Can you update the Podcastr Demo (2 problem images) to remove this block to full Padlock HTTPS status? Or otherwise advise on how to fix this issue.

    Regards,

    Gordon.

    Hi,

Since SSL Certifcate are installed/enabled and renewed server side, please check directly with your hosting provider.

Perhaps you will need to make a search and replace in your database but the best person to help you is your hosting provider.

    Thanks,

My hosting supplied the necessary tech for https (and its working), but the padlock symbol does not display due to two images in the Podcastr Demo - as clearly shown below. How can that be the responsibility of my hosting?

    Quote:

    "Mixed Content - Errors
    Soft Failure
An image with an insecure url of "http://abcpodcast(dot)zone/wp/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/banner-hero(dot)jpg" was loaded on line: 815 of https://abcpodcast(dot)zone/wp/.
This URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return.
    Soft Failure
An image with an insecure url of "http://abcpodcast(dot)zone/wp/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/banner-hero-02(dot)jpg" was loaded on line: 1135 of https://abcpodcast(dot)zone/wp/.
This URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return."

    Displaying as:

Mixed Content - Errors Soft Failure
This URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return. Soft Failure
This URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return.

PS edit: The post has stripped the two images out.

PPS: I suspect that the background used beneath the two problematic images may be the root cause of the https padlock failure: chrome://global/skin/media/imagedoc-darknoise.png (background).

    Hi,

its probably because the path of the existing image are not changed. they are still pointing to your http url.

    1) Either find/replace your DB for http to https
    or

    2) Reupload the images in Elementor to make sure to are uploaded with the correct path.

If it does not work, please provide me access to your wp-admin and I will fix it for you

    Thanks,

    Hi Maxime,

    Thank you for your response.

Had a rough time with my WP hosting. In the middle of the https padlock problem my hosting got wp_admin access from me and fixed a WP full backup issue - but generated bad faults on my homepage (3 main images failing to display). Things got a bit tense at that point, lol.

Long story short: They told the problems were with my Podcastr theme - but I could try wiping the slate clean and reinstalling - with a hosting refund being given if that failed.

Instead, to get to the bottom of the matter one way or the other, I bit the bullet for a bit and installed a localhost Apache server (along with everything else needed) onto my laptop and uploaded Podcastr to a fresh install of WordPress on that. And guess what? The Podcastr theme - and its demo - installed with ease and worked flawlessly. And even better still - so did the full backup function which was a big problem on my hosting.

SooOOOoooo. The problems were not - and never were - Podcastr related at all.

I did the fresh install on my hosting then  (Litespeed server), including a fresh install of WordPress itself (bypassing its default /wp directory this time around) and Podcaster worked fine there too (well, after several file changes here and there on the hosting scripts side). And the https padlock issue too spontaneously vanished amid that lot :)

    So issue now closed.

I am officially a happy chappy - even though half my hair is gone :)

    Onwards and upwards...

    Gordon.
