thanks for that info ....that hotlink area really came in handy for social icons which is great so that's what i'm using it for and i want the cart icon to be dynamic ... cart icon that behaves this way :
when a user adds something to the woocommerce cart then the cart icon appears in the menu with a number indicating the items in it
when there is nothing in the cart icon is not visible
any ideas on how to do this ...i thought i found a solution in that link i sent but i cant' get it to work
The only downside that if you add an item to your cart, you will have to refresh the page to see the number of item update. But that is the only solution I know.
do you have any way of handling the cart for woocommerce in your theme / menus? i'm not seeing any option to show a cart icon

Hi,
there are several ways to do it.
The easiest one is to go to wp-admin > theme options > menu options and scroll down to hotlinks then add a Cart icon.
