I can't figure out how to extend the excerpt length of a post (like in a classic view) beyond 20 words.   I found a place to adjust it within Theme Builder - but it appears to have no effect... am I missing something? Need to change something? Add a plug-in?

I don't think I can as I'm building this on a local host.
I'm trying to put something similar to "News - Classic" on the home page. First thinking I could edit that page into being the homepage - but that page can't be cited in Elementor - "Sorry the content area was not found on your page" You must call "the_content" function...etc."

So I instead using Theme Builder brought in an archive template from the Elementor library - which seemed to work fine - but changing the excerpt length setting to other than 20 has no effect at all. One of Elementor's suggestions was to check with the theme designer as to how and change that.
