Downlading audio from a playlist

    Here's another little thing:
When you click the download link in a playlist, the downloaded file doesn't have the filename of the MP3, it has the TITLE from the Playlist.
A Firefox download loses the .mp3 suffix, so the download is just an undefined item with the title of the track.
In Chrome, ".mp3" is part of the downloaded file, but it also had the title only, not the file name.
    Safari also downloads as [title].mp3

Is there a way to keep the name of the file in a download??

I really don't want to have "Narration-Industrial-Internal_DBCooper" as a track name in my spiffy playlist if we can help it.  😊

    Thanks!

    Hello Deirdre,

The file name will always have the track name. But I dont understand why you have to have "Narration-Industrial-Internal_DBCooper" as a track name

    Thanks,

    Hello Alexandre--

I'm sorry for being imprecise. I was using that as an example.

I have "Medical-Pharma" as a track name. The file name is "Medical-DBCooper.mp3"
If the track downloads with only the title, then my name is lost, and the client may lose track of whose it is.
I would like the file that downloads to have the filename I gave it. I don't want that whole filename in the title, though-- because I don't need my name on every line of the playlist.

    Does that make sense?
If a client downloads a file called "Medical-Pharma.mp3" into their massively messy downloads folder, they may never find me.

And Firefox is truncating the .mp3 suffix for some reason, rendering the downloaded file unplayable. Odd.

Ok I understand your needs, but here the best we can do.

    1. Open a new browser tab when we click on the icon to something like this https://dbcoopervo.com//wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Commercial_DB-Cooper.mp3. Here, we will be able to dowload the original file.

    2. Download a zip file with the mp3.

    3. Or keep it like this.

    Thanks,
