meanwhile I found this information in the help desk:

Is this the solution for an import without destorying my existing database? If this is so...please sent me the required files.
What I always recommend when using a new WordPress theme is to develop the "new" website on a staging server with a fresh copy of WordPress. So start with a clean copy of WordPress, install the theme and its demo content THEN you could also export / import your old content data (ex: blog posts) of your old website onto your new website. By doing this, your existing website will continue to run, and you will have all the time you want to develop/design the new website on your staging server.
When you are ready to launch your new website, you will just have to point your domain name to the staging server so it becomes your new "live" server.
I find that I can not use the Wordpress Importer to do this very thing. When I run it, it simply emits the import page markup as plain text. If I choose a different theme, then it works fine, however I can't export/import Sonaar content types this way.
Hey Maxime, I've already moved beyond that point of trying on one site :) However, I'll set a reminder for myself to provision on a testing site exactly what I'm experiencing and ping back in a couple of days.
Hi! An Import of a Demo theme over-writes the database and the existing websites. This is not usefull.
Is there a possibility to Import Demo Content without destroying my existing stuff?
Maybe to Import a Single Site of a theme and Not the whole Demo?
Cheers,
Stephan

Hi Stephan,
No its not possible but there is a workaround.
