Customising the site to my needs

Hi, bought a theme and love it. Going through the process of setting everythng up, but just struggling to make it my own. This could be partly getting to grips with Wordpress but also with the theme.

So there is a latest release section on the theme on the home page, and I'd just love to have my last 3 releases appear here. But editing it on Ess Grid seems extremely complicated to get the Artwork on, and the song preview.

Secondly, there are all the pages under the Music navigation menu, I'd love to narrow it down to just have one grid with all my releases but just really struggling with going through the playlists to make it happen. And I cant change the template Artist name to my own.

Any guidance on how to start customising everything to fit my needs would be so appreciated thank you! I am quite good with this kind of thing usually but just struggling to get my head round this one hahaha

    Hi Jake,

    1) For the latest 3 release with Essential Grid. Edit your grid and go to the source tab. From there, you will choose which playlist categories to be displayed in the grid and how many post you want to display. See screenshot: https://d.pr/i/f65UWZ

So perhaps make sure that your playlist's post is assigned to a specific category first and that category is pulled from Ess Grid.

    2) To edit a WordPress menu, go to WP-Admin > Appearance > Menu. From there, you will be able to manage the menu items that are being displayed in your front-end menu. Think of them as virtual links to your pages and posts. If you delete menu item, you actually just delete the link..not the page itself.

    3) For the template artist name, can you send me a screenshot so I can understand what you are refering to exactly?

    Thanks,

Thanks Maxime! That's helped me out.

    One more question sorry!

How do I create a new page from one of the existing templates with the theme?

For example I want to create the about us section, using one of the pages you provided..

    Thanks

    Hi Jake,

    Please go to wp-admin>appearance>install plugin
    And install "Duplicate post" plugin.
When this plugin is activated, you will be able to clone a page

What if I deleted the page I want? Is there a way to retrieve the theme template pages at all?

    Thanks!

    Hi Max,

    Hi,

Do you have any reference/example of what you want to do as the final result? We dont have a plugin feature to show genre or additional info..for this you will need to develop your own feature..

    Thanks,
