Due to Covid, haven't worked on the site in awhile. Went to add an event today and got this message: Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call "the_content" function i the current template in order for Elementor to work on this page.
What custom fields? I want to add/edit in Elementor because the image boxes in the theme layout in the elements let's me easily add the headliner and featured comedians vs. the blank WP editor. I don't understand why I can't do this when I can edit other pages in Elementor...
That I saw, again, I want to use Elementor for events, I liked the theme's preset format for elements. You don't have that in Wordpress editor. I don't understand why Elementor works for other pages but no longer with events. We purposely purchased this theme for that very reason.
It has worked in Elementor in the past, attached is an example. This is a past show dated 2/27/20 in which I am still able to access it in Elementor. Below is a a screenshot of selecting the event and then I was able to create/edit it in Elementor. This is what I'm looking to do with new events. When I click "edit in Elementor" I"m getting the you must call "the Content" function in the current template. I'm getting prompted for a ACT Database Upgrade in Events. My question is will I "break" the theme if I upgrade so that I can use Elementor?

In Events, I'm getting a notification of Database Upgrade Required. Will this fix the issue and is this upgrade free?

to add new event, go to WP-Admin > Events > Add New and fill our custom fields. Dont edit with Elementor.

Sorry im confused by what you mean by "Works for other pages but NO LONGER with events"..it has never worked with events?
Event is a custom post type! If you want to built your own event template using Elementor, you can use Elementor Pro's theme builder feature.

This should still work...im able to access the content when i click edit with elementor.
