my wordpress site has a Blubrry Power Press plugin which I have used for my podcast. I wanted to install a Sonaar theme for my site in order to make my website look better with the podcast episodes.. But now my RSS feed doesn't work anymore.
When I put my RSS feed into cast feed validator it immediately gives me a xml error:
But this podcast mirror feed takes the RSS feed from the ORIGINAL feed (number 1). It has always been working correctly before changing the theme.
So basically the original RSS feed needs to be working correctly. And this error only started to show up after switching to a Sonaar theme.
You can check both of the podcast feeds on the feed validator and you see both of them are showing errors. I hope you would have some knowledge to advice me forward.. is there something in the theme/code that makes this xml error appear?
If you want to validate your rss feed nofear.company/feed/podcast/, you must remove the redirection otherwise you wont be able to validate it if validation is your issue here.
The weird thing is I have all the settings in my Blubrry Power press correctly so the errors for the other feed (the image you attached) should not happen. But we don't need to worry about that now, I just want to get the original feed to work and get rid of that xml error. When I was googling about xml errors, they mentioned could be a theme issue.. But as you are a podcast theme that shouldn't not be a problem.. but I wanted to check if you have any experience of my problem?
"Error parsing XML. is invalid XML, likely due to invalid characters. XML error: Attribute redefined at line 16, column 2. Did not finish feed tests.
It looks like a conflict somewhere. the rss feed does not show as it should be.
Could you try something for me? Please deactivate all your plugins except Elementor Sonaar Addon, Elementor, Essential Grid and Revolution Slider then see if the issue persists. If not, please reactivate your plugins one by one and see which plugin can cause the conflict.
Thank you Max! I'll have my technical developer do it tomorrow as we're in the middle of a launch campaign and I don't wanna deactivate anything that could mess up the page and the shop where people are buying the products. But as this started after installing the Sonaar theme, we think it is causing the problem..
I'll get back to you when we have tried your advice
The issue with the feed was that we hadn't noticed the feed settings section at "Audio players & Events settings". There's a check box saying "Disable this RSS feed" - we had no idea this box had to be ticked when you have another podcast publisher that you are using. Maybe could be worth updating this information for your articles? As I was trying to read all the Podcast articles but there was no mention of this box you have to tick.. and it is very crucial when importing a podcast from another publisher. Anyway, the podcast is working now which is great :)

"HTTP HEADERSIs this because of the sonaar theme? Could you provide me some help so that I can keep my podcast running!
Thank you!
Hi,
when I try to visit your feed: https://nofear.company/feed/podcast/ it redirects to another feed.
Since you are hosting your episode somewhere else than your Wordpress site, your main rss feed is https://feeds.podcastmirror.com/nofear-rohkeampimina
That is probably why it can't be validated with Casfeedvalidator.com
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
Thank you Max!
Oh I'm using a podcast mirror, so it works as this:
1. I have my ORIGINAL RSS feed, which is https://nofear.company/feed/podcast/
this is hosted on my wordpress site (that now uses a Sonaar theme)
2. Just to make sure my RSS feed works even better, it is directed to a podcast mirror feed which is:
https://feeds.podcastmirror.com/nofear-rohkeampimina
But this podcast mirror feed takes the RSS feed from the ORIGINAL feed (number 1).
It has always been working correctly before changing the theme.
So basically the original RSS feed needs to be working correctly.
And this error only started to show up after switching to a Sonaar theme.

For your other feed showing errors: https://d.pr/i/qK1IDP
have you check to fix the errors that it shows you?
Thanks,

Hey,
I took the podcast mirror away so now it's not redirecting anywhere:
https://nofear.company/feed/podcast/
But putting that to the validator, it is still saying about the same error:
https://castfeedvalidator.com/?url=https://nofear.company/feed/podcast/
