Hello, I'm trialing different hosting companies to compare performance, service and support, etc. when I purchased the Symphony theme I didn't see that Sonaar also offers a hosting package optimized for its themes and music, which is what I'm looking for. Is there a way I could trial Sonaar hosting for my site? I'd hate to pay for a whole year only to find out that I'm not satisfied within the first 30 days or so. I have trialed a couple of major players in WP hosting, but the results have not been acceptable or encouraging. I do need to move off of my current hosting service, and I would like to believe Sonaar might be the match I'm looking for.
Our hosting service is a full managed hosting service where we take care of the server and its management for you so you dont have to struggle with WordPress installation, Cpanels, MySQL, etc...
Hi Max, DigitalOcean looks like a great foundation for hosting but a bit too complicated for me to trial on my own. Can you address the below questions regarding Sonaar hosting? Thanks.
WP version on DigitalOceanis 5.5.1. Does Sonaar keep WP updated to current version (now 5.7)?
How much storage is available? Does unlimited pages, audio tracks, etc., really mean no limit on storage? I'm currently hitting a ceiling of 10 GB and will need more storage space.
Is a CDN included in the hosting package?
I need to keep my current site live while testing and developing on a Sonaar host.
Will I need to purchase a new domain for this?
Is a temporary URL available?
If a new dedicated domain is required, will it be possible to point the new site on Sonaar to the original domain once testing and development have been completed?
1) No it does not keep WP updated automatically. that would be a very dangerous task to do a you might install non compatible plugins and updates might break things. It would be your responsibility to update plugins, Wordpress and themes.
2) each plan cover 10GB
3) No CDN included
4) We can create a development server. No domain is required, we will provide a temporary URL.
If you need something easier to manage than Digital Ocean, try Cloudways.com with its Digital Ocean server.
Hi Max, thanks for the follow-up. I'll keep all of that in mind, but since there is a 10GB ceiling on the storage, the Sonaar option probably won't work for me right now.
