Embedding Spotify

Since it's not possible to stream from Spotify via your audio player, I'm trying to embed my Spotify profile via the shortcode block on my front page. But every time I return to home page Elementor editor the embed code disappeared and it won't show on my home page if I paste the embed code once again and click save.

    Hi,

I cant see the spotify profile on your homepage currently..

But if it works the first time and when you come back to your homepage, it does not work, this is probably because the script you try to use is not compatible with AJAX page loading. You will need to turn off AJAX page loading by going to wp-admin > theme options > general settings.

    Thanks,

Hey Max, AJAX was already turned off, I've attached screenshots, maybe that would help?

A screenshot where I put in the code and click "update"

A screenshot of how it looks when I return to the Elementor editor.

    Hi,

where can I see your spotify widget on your homepage? I cant locate it

    Thanks,

I'm using either the shortcode or html block which doesn't work - that's why you can't locate it.

    - is there a Spotify widget somewhere?

  • Mads Sørensen replied

Now it worked somehow, thanks either way

Hi Max, unfortunately, I'm still having problems with embedding Spotify in a html block. It seems unstable, what can I do to make sure that embedding a Spotify html code into a html block works?

The issue is that after I have put in the code and saved, it tends to erase the code when I reenter the Elementor editor for this page: https://madshoue.dk/artist/mads-houe-and-the-quavers/

Please elaborate on steps to reproduce the issue on my end and I'll check this out

Also, provide me access to your WP-Admin and also your iframe script.

    Thanks,

    Hi there,

Ok, i've spent around 25 minutes on your website and the issue you have is very uncommon.

Here are the test I've done:

    1) I did what you told me..indeed, it did not work.

    2) I tried with a very standard youtube iframe, and it disappeared as well.

    3) I create a new blank page in WordPress, and it did not work.

    3) I tried the spotify iframe on my local server, it did work!

    4) I disabled all your plugins on your site, and it still did not work..

    5) I installed a default WordPress theme and it also did not work.

My conclusion: There is an issue with your server. Everytime a page is being saved, it strips the <iframe> tags.

As you can see, it does not work with any other themes so the issue is not a theme related.

I recommend you check directly with your webhosting support. If they cant help, I recommend you switch to another server.

    Thanks,
