Both websites leighwarren.com and newcastledc.org appear to be working however when trying to login with wp-admin both sites come up with a critical error- both are with the same host and both use the Apex Theme and both appeared to get this error about the same time. Both had the wordpress version updated automatically 5.4.6 I believe. Neither had the new version of Elementor updated as there was a warning.
I changed the sonaar theme (child) name and tried the newcastledc.org and I could log in when I changed back I got the critical error again.
Critical Errors are detailed in your error.log file on your server. So by checking the error log file you will get more details about what is causing the errror.
Most of the theme, this is due to a non compatible plugin installed on your website, or a memory issue.
I recommend you check this with your hosting provider.
Max, I renamed one by one the plugins on NewcastleDC.org and it didn't make a difference. Don't want to do this on leighwarren.com just yet as that is my personal site tho when I rename your theme I can get in. I have asked host as to where the error.log file is.
Spoke to host provider support and they had not updated PHP on either website to either 7.3 or 4 so I updated to 7.4 on both sites whilst talking to support and problem fixed. Thanks Max for your help anyways appreciate your time. Oh and they couldn't give a location for the error.log just some story instead.
Again thanks and I guess you can close this - Leigh
