Activating theme license

    Hello,

I have a problem while activating my Sonaar theme license key. I've already used the theme in another website, but I deleted it, and I also removed the link from the authorized websites section, and now I only have the current website (elyah.it). The error is the one attached.

    The license is still valid.

    Thanks in advance, Mattia.

    Hi Max,

    Thanks for your response.

I've already done it, but unluckily the error shows us even if I made everything correctly.

    Best regards,

    Mattia.

Ok, please make sure to use PHP 7.x

You are currently using PHP 8 which is not fully supported by not many WP third party plugins at this time.

    Thanks,

So I just have to uninstall and reinstall php, right? (Of course with the right version)

Don't I have to make other changes, right? Like reinstall Wordpress (because of the downgraded php version), Apache2, etc...

    Thank you,

    Mattia.

    Hi,

you can ask your hosting provider just to downgrade PHP version to 7. It should take like 2 minutes.

No need to reinstall / change everything.

    Thanks,

Unluckily I am my own hosting provider xD

By the way, I'll try it tomorrow morning, then I'll let you know.

    Thank you,

    Mattia.

    Hi,

I've done all the work and I managed to install the Sonaar theme, even with php 8.0.

But now I have a problem with Elementor, this is (probably) why I have a permanent blank screen, instead of an editor page.

I already know the issue, but I couldn't find anything on the web on how to fix it. Do you have any tip? I use Debian 10 on a VPS.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mattia.

In order to activate the license, you need php 7...

Have you managed to install php 7?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

yes, I've managed to install php 7, and now it is the default version in use, but now Wordpress shows an error while connecting to the database.

    What have I done wrong?

    Thanks,

    Mattia.

    Hi,

You should check why your server does not want to connect to your database. Unfortunately, this can be for several reason, but its not related to the theme itself but more related to the server.

I'm wondering why you don't host the website on a specialized WordPress hosting (such as cloudways.com ) ? It would save you a lot of time and hassle and you would focus on building websites instead of playing and fixing server backends.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

yes, in the end I've bought a hosting web space with wordpress pre-installed.

With PHP 7.0 and Wordpress 5.8, I can't modify the server background image. I mean, it doesn't get updated in the final website, but in the menu the settings are saved successfully.

In the next message, I'll send you my credentials, so you can check the problem.

    Thank you,
    Mattia.
