MP3 Player Causing Critical Error

    My website won't load if the Sonaar MP3 plugin is activated!  Deactivated, my web pages load, but of course, not able to play music.   I'm running version 3.  Is there a way to go back to version 2.4?

    Hi James,

    Could you check your error.log, or activate wp-debug in your wp-config.php in order to display the error you have? This will give us the exact error message that we need to fix the issue you have. Otherwise could you please provide me access to your wp-admin and I will gladly check the issue you have.

    Thanks,

    The error_log file does not show the error, however Wordpress is sending me emails when this error happens and it shows this:

    Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

    In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, MP3 Audio Player by Sonaar.

    Error Details

    =============

    An error of type E_PARSE was caused in line 2574 of the file /home/u462121825/domains/ratzneststudio.online/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mp3-music-player-by-sonaar/includes/widgets/sr-music-player.php. Error message: syntax error, unexpected ')'

    Does this help?

    Hi,

    This has been fixed in the latest version. Please make sure you are running MP3 Audio Player by Sonaar version 3.0.2

    If you have trouble updating the plugin, or the update is not available, simply deactivate and delete the plugin, then reinstall it again ( by going to WP-Admin > Plugins > Add New > and searching for MP3 Audio Player by Sonaar ) Tell me if it works. if not, please provide me access to your wp-admin and I'll gladly check this for you.

    Thanks,

    Crap. I thought I was locked in to that version of PHP (7.2) by the host, but now I see how I can change to PHP 7.4.  Is that advisable?  That won't break your fix, will it?
