Today we have just updated the player to the new version and now it won't play any of our playlists. It just opens the playlist in a new window and that's it
Yes, both versions are installed and active. I do see a red message saying "WordPress requires MP3 Music Player by Sonaar to be updated to v.3.3 or higher. Your audio player might not be working properly" even though it is the latest version.
If you have trouble updating the plugin, or the update is not available which is your case here, simply deactivate and delete the plugin, then reinstall it again ( by going to WP-Admin > Plugins > Add New > and searching for MP3 Audio Player by Sonaar )
Tell me if it works. if not, please provide me access to your wp-admin and I'll gladly check this for you.

Can I also pick your brain on one other thing. Since the update the player loads on the entire website (when it should only load on the member-only page). any idea how to change it back so it loads only on a specific page?

Make sure NO playlist is selected in WP-Admin > MP3 Player > Settings > Sticky Player > Load Sticky Player on your website
Then edit your page where want to display a sticky player and select which playlist you want to load. See screenshot: https://d.pr/i/wCxjst
