MP3 uploads stopped playing

    Hello,

My new website is still on a test server so I can't provide a link.  My problem is with the MP3 files that I am currently uploading. After uploading, they do not play in the MP3 Player Pro.  The strange thing is that I have previously uploaded at least 50 MP3 files that still play fine.  However, at some point any new files that I upload do not play.  They can be inserted into the player with a picture attached and everything looks fine until you try to play it, then nothing happens.  I have tried re-encoding the files with different methods, used other files from various sources, even deleted a bunch of songs just in case I had reached some limitation.  So far, I have not been able to solve this problem.  Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

    Hi,

It will be hard for me to investigate if I can't get access to your site. Any red error in the Chrome console?

I recommend you put your website on a live server so I can check

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I have updated your plugin to 3.4. should works now.

i could not find the track Dark Nature in any playlist so I didn't test but version 3.4 should have fixed it.

    Thanks,

    Hello Max,

Unfortunately, nothing has changed, and the problem still exists.  I really wish you would have tested it, because the problem is quite obvious.  I don't know if you get the same results from your end, but when I edit a player file by clicking into the upload box it takes me to the root Media folder, where I can see all the mp3 files in the order that they have been uploaded.  There is a small player in the upper right corner where you can test the files before loading them into a player on the website.  This will tell you right away if the files will play.

By the way, I don't use playlists.  Since I have multiple players that are all different it works better to just place the songs directly into the players.  If you go to the bottom of the "Original Music" page, you will find 10 players in a 2 X 5 grid.  The first row second player (TV/Film Themes) has 2 songs that do not play.  Numbers 6 and 7, "Gravitational" and "Escaping Tedium".  In the first player in the next row down "Film Scores Action/Adventure" you will find "Dark Nature" as the first track.

Another note: the software is still requesting an update from 3.4 to 3.4.  I really hope there is a solution to this problem. Thank you.

    Hi,

there is a restriction on the mp3 that does not play.

    By example, this one: https://wordpress-671714-2236319.cloudwaysapps.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Gravitational.mp3

if you click it, you will see it has forbidden access.

While a working one, such as this one: https://wordpress-671714-2236319.cloudwaysapps.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Inspector-Stone.mp3 is being able to play in a default browser window.

This probably an issue with htaccess or your server permission,

I recommend you contact Cloudways directly about this server issue.

    Thanks

Thank you for your help Max.  Apparently the test server has issues, and with no tech support available we will have to launch our site prematurely to get control of the file manager.  We love the Sonaar Player.  Thanks for you patience.
