The sticky player comes and goes every now and then. Sometimes it only shows on mobile mode and sometimes it just reappears on desktop but vanishes again. Has this happened to anyone else ?
Yep it reappeared now after disabling continuous player. Isn't there a way to still make it appear while enabling continuous player ? The issue now is that when I am on another page the sticky player is still there but if I press on play nothing happens and the episode title disappears.
Looks like I am a bit more lost than I thought... What I am sure about is that I want whatever episode is playing to be in the sticky player no matter which page I am on, just like what the continuous player feature allowed me to do.
I don't know if you noticed (and maybe it can help), but I downloaded another plugin called Seriously Simple Podcasting which creates a new custom post type for my podcast. I know sonaar has its own themes with custom post type etc but I don't have enough budget to buy one of your themes. So here's the thing : my episodes are located in both Seriously Simple Podcasting and MP3 Player Pro plugins. I am using the first for the post type and structure and the latter for the front end (design).
I don't understand. How can I create a custom post type with MP3 Player Pro ? I can only import my podcast from RSS feed (or create it manually), create episodes, categories etc and edit the player's settings. But no actual post type. Maybe it's a lack of knowledge on my side and I'll be happy to learn but how to set my own podcast archive with MP3 Player Pro ? How to create a single post template ? I thought only your custom themes could allow that not the MP3 Player Pro plugin
Can you please explain me how to create a single podcast page template with Elementor using your plugin. SSP provided templates that could be imported into Elementor. What I was expecting in fact, was to have specific post types proposed to me when creating a new Elementor template
I took the same template that was there and changed the display condition so all our single post type page will read this template. I changed the condition here: https://d.pr/i/F4G8B3
More info on how Elementor Theme Builder works here: https://elementor.com/help/elementors-theme-builder/#:~:text=The%20Theme%20Builder%20provides%20a,parts%2C%20or%20delete%20site%20parts.
Also I find it weird the way the player looks. I applied some border radius to it but for some reason I need to create a solid border to make the edges rounded (the player itself doesn't respond to that elementor editing) which means the border width has to be thick enough to cover the player's sharp edges. Then when I update the layout doesn't look like what I did on the editor as you could've seen on your screen recording.
Yup ! Now it shows on all pages. Thanks. Thanks also for the custom CSS (funny enough, I don't see it on my side, see attached file). Could you put it in the discussion so a can copy paste it ? Thanks !
Could you also explain me why the button to collapse the sticky player doesn't show the little arrow anymore ? And how come I get twice the Spotify button on the main player ? Thanks again :)
For the minimize arrow: it was because you didn't set any color for the font here https://d.pr/i/mv8f2m
For the Spotify Button: I struggled a bit and I have recreated your podcast episode post, and delete the old one. I noticed that the issue was just caused because you've set the spotify button also in your podcast show: https://d.pr/i/BWiy6j so every episode in that show category would inherit from that button..additionally, it was also set in your episode post.
Great thanks a lot for taking the time to explain. I restored the previous episode. It's really funny because the sticky player still disappears when I'm on incognito mode... When I access the website (appearing by default as wp-admin) the player shows... Any idea why ? While writing this I removed cookies and cache from my browser and it worked again. Still my question remains : how to prevent that for future users ? Thanks a lot Max you're really helping a lot here :)
I've just changed it. It wasn't the correct one, but still, the wave color remains white. Also I noticed something else. On the podcast show page. When I toggle the hamburger icon the full page pop up menu opens with a white banner. I don't know if it has anything to do with the previous editing...
Hi Max, so about the sticky player disappearing, I just tested on another pc and the same issue occurs. The sticky player appears at the beginning then after navigating on other pages it disappears. I go back to my episode's page start back the track on the main player but the sticky player doesn't appear. I have to clear my cache and cookies, close the chrome (or whatever web browser app like Safari) window, reopen it and then it reappears. So how can I prevent this to happen for the user ? Thanks again :)
By the way, I'll have to endorse Fack It's request about the pause with spacebar feature. It's such a common thing to do when consuming audio / video content https://sonaar.ticksy.com//ticket/2768114/
I think I'm good for now so you may close this ticket. Thanks again Max, your help was invaluable I appreciate it :)
Hello,
The sticky player comes and goes every now and then. Sometimes it only shows on mobile mode and sometimes it just reappears on desktop but vanishes again. Has this happened to anyone else ?
Thanks a lot !
Hi
Could you please provide me access to your wp-admin and I will gladly check the issue you have.
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
Hi,
Please disable continuous player in MP3 Player > Settings > Sticky Player: https://d.pr/i/GHMdFg
That is what makes the player appear on pages and it's based on your browser cookies to remember which player has been played on previous page.
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew

Hi,
I dont understand. can you record a video to show me the steps you do to reproduce the issue please
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
Ok give me a minute ;) thanks
Your site is loading all these playlist in the sticky when page loads. see screenshot https://d.pr/i/7hmxaa
remove these posts from that fields and make sure they correspond to real playlist available on your site.
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
About your last response, shouldn't I leave these post IDs as is since the sticky player won't show if I remove them from the field ?
What playlist you want to load in the sticky player exactly, when any of your page loads?
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
Looks like I am a bit more lost than I thought... What I am sure about is that I want whatever episode is playing to be in the sticky player no matter which page I am on, just like what the continuous player feature allowed me to do.
1) Remove all posts set in wp-admin > mp3 player > settings > sticky player > Load Sticky Player on your website: https://d.pr/i/7hmxaa
2) Enable Continuous Player in wp-admin > mp3 player > settings > sticky player
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew

No it didn't work...
Why using Seriously Simple Podcasting? Our MP3 Player Pro has everything SSP offers + much more.
You should disable SSP

This is our custom post type https://d.pr/i/ShioAI
its called sr_playlist
You have also 2 custom taxonomies which are Podcast Show and Categories.
Your current single podcast page is built with Elementor Pro's theme builder using SSP.
You can do the exact same thing with our own CPT.
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew

I think everything is super clear now !! I'll get back to you if something's wrong but it seems I figured it out thanks to your help !
Well now it comes back to the initial issue. The sticky player doesn't show... haha I feel it's almost the end of it though ;)
Where it does not show ?
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
On the single post page and all the other pages
Hi,
Im confused, the sticky player is displayed on this page : https://www.houseof.mrsathena.com/episode/welcome-to-house-of-mrs-athena/
see video recording: https://d.pr/v/EZh0zN
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
This is strange, I can't see it on my screen. I'm on incognito mode
Also I find it weird the way the player looks. Perhaps try to clear your browser cookies and also browser cache. it works here when you click plays, the sticky shows up.
It also appears on all pages because you've set it in the settings: https://d.pr/i/1dD1al
For the margin in the box, i have added this custom CSS code in your page settings: https://d.pr/i/UokFak
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
Yup ! Now it shows on all pages. Thanks. Thanks also for the custom CSS (funny enough, I don't see it on my side, see attached file). Could you put it in the discussion so a can copy paste it ? Thanks !
Forgot to attach the file
Could you also explain me why the button to collapse the sticky player doesn't show the little arrow anymore ? And how come I get twice the Spotify button on the main player ? Thanks again :)
Oh just noticed the changes. Fantastic ! Could you tell me how you did it ? :)
For the custom CSS, refresh your page maybe.i was editing the page in the same time than you.perhaps you saved it after i saved it.

Funny enough the sticky player's progress color is white while a set it to yellow in the settings
Is the correct playlist post selected in wp-admin > mp3 player > settings > sticky?
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew

Nah solved it, no prob ;)

Is there a specific page where the play does not appear?
Please record a fullscreen video so I can know the exact steps you do.
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
provide me access to wp-admin again
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
Ok, this seems a bug when you minimize the player WITH continuous player enabled.
I will add this to our roadmap and will fix this issue in the next plugin update.
Thanks,
Max from the Sonaar.io Crew
Thanks a lot Max ! Glad this will help your other users too ;)
