Could I get a hand clearing up some confusion and config options?
I am running the CastoPress theme and also the MP3 Player Pro plugin. The theme comes with all the Podcast/Music functionality and has a bunch of the same options as the MP3 Player plugin.
I am concerned that the options may conflict, and would like to just use the MP3 Player Pro plugin, as it has a few more options than what the theme provides.
How would I go about disabling all the CORRECT podcast/music options within the theme, so that I can rest assured that it no longer has any function within the site? Is it possible to perhaps pull out or disable that particular code from the backend?
I honestly do not require any of the the built in theme options for Music, Podcast, Playlists , or Events. The MP3 Player plugin is able to handle all my Podcast needs currently.
I would appreciate any help you can offer in this regard.
Im not familiar with CastoPress unfortunately, so I don't know if they have an options to turn the functionality off.
Is there are reason why you still use the CastoPress if you use our plugin ? The best theme to works with is Hello Elementor. Its soo flexible when used with our plugins and also Elementor Pro.
Oh, well that was not the response I was looking for. :|
I purchased the themes and the player through sonaar.io in hopes that I was keeping all support under a single roof. I was hoping that the products worked hand in hand. Apparently not so.
The theme offered some prebuilt functionality, allowing me to not have to necessarily build from scratch. However, your response sounds like the right direction.
I'm so sorry for the confusion! I thought you were talking about a different themes from another author and didn't realize that you were taking about our own castopress theme. (there is another third party theme called Casto Podcast so I was confused.. My bad)
We do support both theme and mp3 player pro activated at the same time.
If you use mp3 player pro, make sure to use the WP-Admin > MP3 Player to manage all your podcasts and their settings.
Do not use wp-admin > podcast menu since it's belong to the theme. Additionally, you can disable the podcast CPT in wp-admin > theme options > general settings.
