installing the theme it wiped all our content, we didn’t realise this would happen. We want to import all our old blog posts and get our content such artist bios. Where has it moved to, please?
Please ask your web hosting to rollback to a previous backup.
Before clicking Import demo, you clicked OK on the notice that told you that all content will be replaced by the theme demo.
What I always recommend when using a new WordPress theme is to develop the "new" website on a staging server with a fresh copy of WordPress. So start with a clean copy of WordPress, install the theme and its demo. By doing this, your existing website will continue to run, and you will have all the time you want to develop/design the new website on your staging server.
You could also export/import the old blog posts of your old website onto your new website by going to WP-Admin > Tools > Import/Export.
When you are ready to launch your new website, you will just have to point your domain name to the staging server so it becomes your new "live" server.
So I’m speaking to the hosting and went through file recovery back to 6am yesterday but the content still remains with your site content “henrick lamar” etc

is there no other way to do it? Such as downloading the content and pasting it in manually?
We have around 70 pages and templates. That would take a lot of time and the demo would not be exactly like it's shown on our theme demo site.

please tell me what to do, we are an established business with name artists and this has deleted all our content
So you recommend:
1. roll it back to previous site first thing in morning
2. Start a new site not connected to the main domain
3. Add content and populate new site
4. Install new site onto domain
Is that the best way to do it?
Do you have instructions on using the theme?
is there an under construction option?
Yes the steps you have mentionned are correct.
You can learn more about our theme and watch video tutorials to get started here: https://sonaar.io/video-tutorials/

Where can I find our old content?
Hi,
Ask them to rollback to a copy before yesterday? They should keep at least 7 days of backups.
Thanks,
