How to import manually new podcast episodes or episodes with changed information via RSS without altering the information of existing episodes that have not changed
I have the following problem: I have modified some of the podcast show episodes in WordPress to add a call to action button that allows you to download documentation related to it from the podcast player.
The issue is that, when I manually import from the plugin option using RSS to download new episodes or changes that may have occurred in their information, the information of the episodes that had already been imported is overwritten, including those that have not had any changes in its information, and therefore I lose the call to action buttons that I had created (that is, it deletes all episodes of the podcast show and recreates them from the RSS).
How can I manually import new podcast episodes or episodes with changed information via RSS without altering the information of existing episodes that have not changed?
I have added a new option that when you import RSS feed, you will have the choice to overwrite the existing episode or not. This will be released in the next plugin update. If you want, I can install it for you before we officially release the update next week. If you want me to do it, please provide me access to your wp-admin.
Thanks for your offer, but I don't think it's necessary if the next version of the plugin doesn't take long to arrive. Do you know, more or less, when its release is scheduled?
We dont know. Its gonna be a major update. we are at the final stage but there is always something to polish. We hope it will be next week but it can be a bit more.
