Remembering where player is in a track

    Hi there

We are soft-launching our audio platform which is mainly long talks as opposed to short music items. We're getting asked about the player remembering where the track is at if they stop halfway through the track and do other things in their browser, then come back to it the next day, for example.

The player only has a limited capacity to remember where it was at in the track. Is it possible for this to be increased?

Ideally, the player would remember where it was at in all tracks played, kind of like Youtube does. It remembers where you are in every video you watch. This may be complex, but even if it could just remember where it was at in the last played track that would be really helpful.

    Many thanks

    Julian

    Hi,

the only thing we have to remember the tracks is by enabling the continuous player in wp-admin > mp3 player > settings > sticky player.

We don't have an option to remember the track timing in the player widget at this time im afraid.

    Thanks,

But the continuous player doesn't remember where you are if you use your browser for something else. It forgets and goes back to the start again. Is it supposed to remember?

It forgets if you click another play in another player, or you clear your site cookies.

OK, if that's the expected behavior, then it's not working correctly. I just opened the player and let it play for a minute. Then visited another website in the same browser. Then returned to the audio player page again and the player was back at the beginning.

I can't seem to be able to reproduce on my computer. Could you please elaborate on the steps to reproduce the issue on my end and I will check this for you.

See video I have recorded: https://drops.sonaar.io/v/gJTplB

OK, seems that you are correct as we can't reproduce it now. May have been a caching issue at our end perhaps. Thanks!
