I have logged into my account and because of my expired license, am being prevented form downloading even the old theme files that i had when i purchased the theme.

I dont need your new them files, i need the old files  that i had when i bought  your theme because my site is broken and i need to fix it and yet i have no money to renew  the license.

Atleast i deserve that otherwise thats holding people hostage for them not to be  even able to download their old files form  your site and requiring money to do that.

Also am not even able to install anew version of elementor on your site, it just keeps crashing and this is frustrating.

    Hi,

We cannot keep old files as they are not compatible with the new versions of WordPress, Elementor and other plugins. Even if we had them, they would be unusable and deprecated, so it's best to use the latest versions to avoid any compatibility and security issues.

Perhaps you can ask your web hosting provider if they have a backup copy of your website from when it was working perfectly with old plugins and old Wordpress versions. They may be able to restore your website to that previous version.

    Thanks,

So you are trying to say that you convince people to pay you their money for your theme the first time  knowing that your theme will never be compatible with any WordPress releases in the future? and that they should reply on you to basically do anything forcefully making them pay you money? Its like you are forcing people for your support. This is ridiculous and these cheating business practices will be reported to https://www.ftc.gov/about-ftc/bureaus-offices/bureau-consumer-protection.  I dont understand why you would deliberately frustrate some one from even doing a mere security update by themselves even if they have a plugin to do so because you anticipate that they will ask you to do so after their licenses expire. Does it mean that people who cant renew their licenses set up a website once and for all and that after that,  they should deal with security issues because they fail to renew a license. What is the meaning of the guarantee you set? Is that dependent on money too? We live in hard times and money is scarce. Dont delete this ticket , i have saved a copy.

That has to stop. This is the third complaint am raising.

    Hi,

We are not convincing anyone. You are free to update your wordpress platform and third party plugins you are using or not. In your case, you have updated wordpress and/or third party plugin which bring a compatibility issue with those updates.

Our aim is to provide a high-quality theme that is compatible with the current version of WordPress at the time of purchase. While we strive to ensure compatibility with future updates, we cannot guarantee it due to the ever-changing nature of software and technology.

To help clarify this, I will provide you with a short example.

Let's say you purchase our theme, which is compatible with WordPress version 5.8. In the future, WordPress releases version 6.0, which includes major updates to the core platform, such as changes to the way themes are structured or how they interact with plugins, and you proceed with such update.

These changes may affect the functionality or appearance of our theme on your website. For example, the new WordPress update might introduce a change in how page layouts are constructed, causing your site's design to break or display incorrectly.

In such a case, our development team would work to update our theme to ensure compatibility with the new WordPress version. However, this process takes time, and cost money to hire developers to maintain the code.

Never we would be in the business if we were to sell lifetime updates for $69! I mean, we spend around 2000 hours per year to maintain our code!

You also had the choice to buy a lifetime license but you have opted in to purchase a yearly license. Customers our bought a lifetime membership receives lifetime update.

It's clearly indicated in our pricing page at https://sonaar.io/pricing

So we are not forcing anyone. You had and you have the choice the buy our lifetime membership if you wanted/want lifetime updates and lifetime support. The choice is your.

    Thanks,

Excuse the arrogance, i didn't purchase the theme for $69 dollars. you make it sound like its not money to people else where who have made a purchase.

Why is it that most of the themes on envanto https://themeforest.net/ are usually updated with the latest WordPress version with no issues. Does it explain why you have never subscribed onto the biggest theme vendor platform?

I have multiple themes with them  and the various theme developers  release updates in relation to WordPress releases and never have to pay money to do minor update. . In your case, no one even knows if your theme is compatible with any WordPress version or if its  a plugin (version) , there is no documentation regarding that. thats information you dont disclose on your website. What is there is just vague.

Sorry my bad. You have bought the all theme access at $89.

I know it's a lot of money, trust me.

Themeforest is a very popular platform and yes we sell themes on this plateform (known as IronTemplates). The license themeforest sell is a lifetime license so you can get lifetime updates. The sad thing is that the themes there don't receive much new features and get abandonned after 1 year or two, mostly because authors don't get money from the updates.

We have decided to not sell the Sonaar theme on themeforest. It's a personal choice. There are many premium themes like us that are not on Themeforest. Just look at the most popular themes on the planet: Astra, OceanWP, Elegant themes... They have the exact same business model like us.

    Thanks,
