We use the MP3 player PRO (starter) for our radio website.
I've tried the Spectro animation: looks great!
However, if I let an 1-hour audio play on the same page (no browsing, just play and forget) for 15/20 minutes, the website becomes irresponsive. Too much data in the memory it seems.
Refreshing the page makes it responsive again.
I'm considering switching the spectro animation OFF, but that would be a shame not using it.
Could you look into improving the memory management for this feature?
You can launch for instance any of the latest podcasts from the homepage on "Les derniers podcasts".
There are cut as an 1 hour long mp3 file each time. That's what we stream.
If you let the audio play for 20+ minutes, you'll see the lack of website responsiveness, such as play/pause update taking a long time, waveforms slowly shutting down at pause, difficult browsing of the current page overall.
Hope that helps with reproducing the issue. Unfortunately, that's one that requires waiting doing nothing or browsing on other tabs while listening the audio.
Aw, nuts! It's back after 40 minutes. Sticky mouse movements, duration no longer updating, clicks in the audio and finally stoppage of audio playback altogether, and then the dreaded page non-response alert. This is with Spectro Animation enabled. I'll disable and we'll test again. We've had other issues with the Animation, so it might be our particular combination of plugins and settings.
Alexandre, behind our paywall we have files up to 3 hours in length. After posting that we're seeing a similar non-responsiveness after 30+ minutes of playback (jerky, "sticky" mouse movements on MacBook desktops, not on mobile), I purged WP Rocket cache following an Elementor/Elementor Pro update. No stickiness! Thought I'd mention that this now seems resolved for us. Maybe we had some corrupted cache. As always, thanks for your great work.
I successfully listened to tracks at a 2x speed rate for 1 hour and 30 minutes without experiencing any problems on https://campus-clermont.net/. Could you please try again after clearing your cache just to ensure that this is not the issue?
We had to rebuild many plug-ins to correct a different problem we were having, and this seems to have fixed the long-play issue. I'm 2 hrs and 11 minutes into playback on a 3-hr file and the page is responsive, and there are no audio clicks or glitches. A couple of our testers are also confirming that they have long-play again. Everything perfect as Sonaar is :)
I'll see with the host for a server cache reset, on top of my theme cache reset. I guess there is something else at play too that I did not figure out yet.
