1) the new iOS prevent the ability to use artwork when locked. Its a bug introduced in the new version of iOS and Apple are aware of this. We are waiting for a fix from them. Its currently out of our control, and this affect any websites that has an audio player to display artwork in the media center.
2) Yes, you will have access to the pro features after 1 year even if you cancel your membership. But you wont have access to plugin update and support.

2. i imagine the "Option to automatically stop player when track is complete" pro feature can also be used to play through a playlist then stop the player once the playlist is complete?
1) The pro version have a feature to support track images so you can set different images for each tracks, which means that when Apple fixes the issue, you will be able to see individual mp3 image covers. This is not available with the free version
2) Yes, we have a pro feature to stop the player when playlist is completed as well.
