Are your themes compatible with the Advanced Custom Fields Pro plugin?

When I have ACF PRO plugin installed and activated, a lot of the functions in the dashboard of a new post become unusable. (see attached screenshot)

For example, when trying to add a new podcast episode I'm no longer able to upload an audio file.

When I deactivate ACF Pro, the dashboard look and functionality return to normal, where everything seems to be working fine again.

I'm using the Padcastr theme.

It looks like a version of advanced custom fields is  pre-installed on the theme, however, it has limited capabilities. For example, it doesn't give me the ability to add new custom post types (which is what I would like to do).

I'd like to be able to use ACF Pro with the theme. Is that possible?

Ok. I can deactivate ACF Pro plugin.

Though what I would like to be able to do is make my custom post types.

I would normally do that with ACF Pro.  But i'm not given the option to do so using the custom fields that is bundled with your theme.

It looks like I can only add new Field Groups. It doesn't allow the creation of a new custom post type (or at least I'm not seeing the option if it exists)

Could I use a plugin like "pods" to create custom post type (then populate the fields using custom fields)? Would that work with the theme? Or do I need to create a custom post type manually by editing code?
