    Hi,

I'm having trouble figuring out where/how to edit the text that appears over the "hero" header area  section at the top of the artist custom post.

Looks fine on desktop, but on a phone the text isn't readable. I've looked at editing the post in Wordpress as well as the Elementor editor and simply can't find where to edit the text that appears over the background image.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Every post has its own banner settings.
You can edit the banner title through those settings

    Hi Alexandre,

I was able to edit the banner image and the text that appears over the image. The issue is when viewed on an iPhone the banner text isn't formatted very well at all. It needs to be formatted for phone.

I watched a video on how to edit the phone view with the Elementor editor. But when I go in the Elementor editor and select phone view to edit. There is no way to edit the text in that section. I guess because its controlled from the post? What you're supposed to be able to do in Elemenor is adjust the text size etc, in any section to suite desktop, phone or tablet when the responsive design isn't working.  But I see no way to do that.

So I thought what if I remove the text in the post VIA the banner setting in WordPress as you pointed out and add the same text over that section with the Elementor editor.  I tried and couldn't find any sidebar text block or widget that would drag over top of the banner image. Also the text added within post floats anyway, I'm not sure if text added with Elementor would work.

Is there a way to edit the text for a specific screen in that section similar to how you can with the Elementor editor? Or is that text coded as an as-is feature of the custom post?  I'm open to ideas. If you view the post on desk top them phone you should see what I mean.    https://straysongs.com/artist/the-guess-whos-mcdougall-and-wallace/

    Hi Phil,
Please go to wp-admin > theme options > typography > Banners Typography. Here, you can set different font sizes for each device size.

    Hi Alexandre,

After messing around for a while I was able to make some improvement. But it appears the settings for the custom post aren't cooperating. The issue is trying to position the text optimally for mobile given the number of words I thought perhaps a better solution would be to split the banner in two and remove the Banner subtile and replace it with the second part of the tile.

I.E. The banner title is "The Guess Who's McDougall & Wallace"

    The subtitle is "Together Again"

So I tried removing the subtile in the post and replaced it with McDougal & Wallace  and change the banner title to just "The Guess Who's"  But the original subtitle " "Together Again"  is still showing up. Plus the banner title is still "The Guess Who's McDougall & Wallace" So I played around with it as best I can could for now.

I have to say that edit feature for the post banner text is not very user friendly. Almost counter initiative. Setting the banner mobile font size to 20px requires a 10px height size size or the text overlaps. A lot of trial and error to get something OK.

But the issue of changing the text in the post not being reflected doesn't seem right. See attached. I removed the banner subtitle and split the title in to two parts. But its not reflected on the site. See attached screen shots of the site and the post banner text settings the post settings.

Anyway.. if there something I can do that will allow the the banner text I set in the post to be reflected in the site that would be great.

BTW. I really appreciate your support.

    Thanks

    Phil.

    Hi Phil,

What you've done seems to work well. Can you tell me in what situation the subtitle disappears? On my device, it's always visible.

Did you know that you have the option to disable the "banner" feature? You can rebuild this section directly with Elementor. The parallax effect may not be as beautiful, but you'll have more flexibility.

The "banner" feature was designed before the Sonaar theme shifted to being used with Elementor. This feature is a bit dated, but still quite effective and, I believe, easy to use with the right image and a not overly long title.

If you have HTML knowledge, you can use the "Advanced Content" option to replace the title and subtitle with HTML of your choice. Maybe that can help you, but I repeat, I find your banner very well done.

    Thanks,
