Standard videos page

I am using The Crew theme, but the standard videos page has managed to get a "follow" column in there which messes up the layout

...so I created a separate /video page using essential grid - but the /videos page is still there, and being indexed by Google.

It would be easier to use the standard videos page, but not when it looks like this.... and I don't seem to be able to edit the template for it. No idea how that "follow" section started appearing.

At the moment, the homepage videos are entered as custom grid items in the Essential Grid template. I have just tried setting the source to post type > Video in the hope I could use that as the feed for the videos on the home page, but they don't display (this is on my dev site)

I assume that is a limitation of Essential Grid - a shame, as it would be nice to have everything managed from one source, rather than having to re-enter the videos as grid items.

    Please help!

    Hi Richard,
Personally, I prefer the solution of hosting the videos on a YouTube playlist and displaying them with Essential Grid. eg: https://demo.sonaar.io/thecrew-elementor/video-youtube-channel/

However, it’s true that using Sonaar's video posts offers the advantage of having a single video post for each video, where you can add additional information. Regardless of how you choose to display the videos, it is not recommended to use the native video archive page that occupies the "/videos" slug. This template is not flexible, and we did not design our demos with the intention of using this template.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the confirmation. I have added a 301 redirect for /videos to prevent that slug from being crawled. I will have a look at the playlist option!
