Sonaar Music Pro 5.9.2 won't play on Firefox

Hi! I recently upgraded to Sonaar Music Pro 5.9.2. (The main Sonaar Music plugin seems to still be at 5.9.1?)

I soon discovered that the audio player would sometimes work, but sometimes not play the mp3 file. In the Javascript console, I would see this message:

Warning = AbortError: The fetching process for the media resource was aborted by the user agent at the user's request.

And the timestamp would stay stuck at zero.

Oddly, this message was unpredictable: I have different pages that each have a player for a particular file. Some would work, others not.

I got this error on Firefox on Linux. When I tested with Chromium on Linux, the audio files would play fine.

For now, I have downgraded the pro plugin back to 5.9.1, and everything is working again.

But please test this, so that your next release will include a fix. I'm not sure how to reproduce except by setting up an audio player for an mp3 file which is hosted elsewhere (I use AWS), and then trying to play it on Firefox.

    Hope this helps. Thank you!

    Hi,

I can't seem to be able to reproduce on my computer, and you are the first user who reported this.

To check and fix the issue, I need to be able to reproduce the issue on my end. Perhaps you have a particular setup that I cant reproduce locally.

Could you please update MP3 Audio Player by Sonaar to 5.9.1 and MP3 Audio Player Pro Addon to 5.9.2 and elaborate on the steps to reproduce the issue on my end and I will check this for you.

    Thanks,

    Max from the Sonaar.io Crew

Hi Max! Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately, as I said, this error was unpredictable for me. If you are not able to reproduce easily on your end, I guess I will just wait for the next updates, and see whether the error persists for me. Could be caused by some interaction with another plugin.

In the meantime, it's good to have this thread public in case another user discovers a similar error; they might have an easier time reproducing.

    Thank you!
